“With virtually no art tuition at all, I began to teach myself to draw around the age of 14 or 15 by drawing self portraits in the mirror (no one else would pose). This began a journey which continues to this day in a fascination with the human form and that of all other creatures - animals, birds, fish, insects etc and their environment. This led in time to the structure beneath the skin, a fascination with anatomy and particularly of the skeleton.
For all the apparent realism/surrealism or whatever I think my paintings are not really about creating answers but provoking more questions.
